Richmond man dead following early morning crash

BEREA, Ky. (WTVQ) – A Richmond, Ky. man died today (3/18) from injuries he received in an early morning crash.

The Madison County Coroner’s Office says 42-year old Bruce Anthony Kelley died at the scene of the crash, which happened around 5:00 am.

The Collision Reconstruction Unit of the Madison County Sheriff’s Office, along with the Berea Police Department investigated the three-vehicle collision.

Investigators say a motorcycle, driven by Kelley, was traveling north on Old US Hwy. 25, when, they say, Kelley ran through the stop sign at the Berea Bypass intersection, colliding with and SUV.

They say the motorcycle then slid across the roadway and collided with another SUV before coming to a rest.

No other injuries were reported.

Also assisting on scene were Richmond Police Department, Berea Fire Department, Madison County EMS and the Madison County Coroers’s Office.

The crash remains under investigation.
