Shooting leaves one person with life-threatening injuries

LEXINGTON, Ky. (WTVQ) – Lexington Police are investigating a shooting that left one person with life-threatening injuries.

Police say they received multiple calls of shots fired in the area of Valley Park, at the 2000 block of Cambridge Drive around 4:45 p.m.

Once at the scene officers say they saw three individuals running from the park and were able to take one of the suspects into custody.

Police do believe this was an isolated incident, and do not believe there is a public threat.

According to police, a male in his late teens arrived at a local hospital shortly after the shots fired call with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting is still under investigation.
