Male college student dies at Lexington KY hospital

An 18-year-old male college student died at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital Monday night, the Fayette County coroner said.

Coroner Gary Ginn would not say which university or college the student attended. A pending toxicology test will help determine cause of death. More information is expected to be released after the family is notified.

Also Monday night, “UK police were called to the FarmHouse Fraternity regarding a report of an unresponsive individual,” university spokesman Jay Blanton said. “They are continuing that investigation at this time.”

Blanton would not say whether the person died or whether they were a fraternity member. He said Monday night that he could not immediately comment further about the incident.

The Kentucky Kernel reported that FarmHouse Fraternity members did not comment Monday night.
