Lexington KY traffic: Significant delays on I-75 northbound

A wreck with multiple vehicles involved is expected to cause long delays for morning commuters on I-75 in Lexington Wednesday morning, according to the Lexington Traffic Management Center.

The collision happened near exit 99 in the northbound lanes of I-75. It’s unknown how many vehicles were involved or what caused the wreck.

Only the right lane was open as of 7 a.m. and traffic was significantly backed up into Madison County, the traffic management center said. “Long delays” are expected, starting in Madison County, the traffic management center said.

A state traffic map shows reported backups stretching from exit 95 in Madison County past exit 99 in Lexington.
