LEXINGTON, Ky. (ABC 36 NEWS NOW) – Happy Thursday! Summer-like heat builds for your Thursday and Friday ahead of a true “fall feel” this weekend. Afternoon highs Thursday and Friday will be climbing into the mid-to-upper 80s. Thursday will stay mainly dry with just a pop-up shower or two. Friday evening will feature rain and storm chances moving in during the late afternoon and evening hours out of the northwest. This is ahead of ahead of the cold front that will plummet temperatures deep into the 40s by Sunday morning. This early taste of mid-to-late October like weather will hang around for early next week until we are expected to warm back up into the mid-80s. If you’re a fan of fall… enjoy this weekend! It may be a bit of time until we see chilly conditions like you’ll see Sunday and Monday morning.
